Who can use GreenLeaf Market?
This site is for wholesale buyers such as restaurants, schools, grocery stores, or others who have larger purchasing needs. Sellers must have the professional capabilities to pack and deliver product to these buyers. Farming cooperatives are welcome to use the site.
As an individual, where can I purchase local foods?
Local Dirt, the farmers' market pre-order, will show you the markets in your area and allow you to purchase from individual farms.
What do you consider "local"?
Since there is no legislation (yet) on what defines local, we leave it up to the individual farmer.
Why can't I see any products available for sale?
Some states may not have heard of GreenLeaf Market yet. Buyers have the most success with GreenLeaf Market when they use it to order from farmers who already sell to them. They save time ordering and are the first to see any new farm that signs up in their area.
How do I register to sell at a farmers' market?
The market manager must first register the market with Local Dirt. They will create a market password. You will need this market password to register with your farmers' market.
Can I sell meat and dairy?
Yes. GreenLeaf Market is for any wholesale local food sales.
How much does it cost?
We do not believe in penalizing farmers with percentage fees. Farmers receive 100% of every sale. There is no charge for being a part of our beta test. Next year, users will be charged $19.95 a month.
